About All Those Flashing Lights

All Those Flashing Lights is an indie rock collective hailing from Dothan, AL, blending shoegaze, electronica, post-rock, and more into richly layered soundscapes. The band is a reunion of three lifelong friends—Brad Clayton, Tony Staffiero, and Chris Johnston—who, after years of playing in various bands, have come together to form something uniquely their own.

Frontman Brad Clayton delivers lyrics that delve into themes of paranoia, melancholy, and the struggles of faith, creating a narrative that is both personal and universal. Since their formation in 2022, ATFL has crafted music that navigates the complexities of the human experience, from existential anxiety to love and loss.

The band’s lineup features Brad Clayton on guitars, synth, and lead vocals, Tony Staffiero on bass, synths, and background vocals, and Chris Johnston on drums, samples, and synths. Together, they create a sound that is as emotionally resonant as it is sonically expansive.

ATFL is signed to Minor Hymns Records and is set to release their debut full-length album this fall. The album is being mixed and mastered by Jason Kingsland, known for his work with Future Islands, Band of Horses, and Belle & Sebastian.

First Single

“Burn the Witch” envelops the listener in a dark, contemplative atmosphere, driven by a hypnotic pulse that is impossible to resist. This debut single, released on Minor Hymns Records, marks a powerful introduction to their sound.

Second Single

“Not Available” brings the nostalgia of youth colliding at breakneck speed with the weight of age. The push of the synthesizer matches the flow of time amongst the falling and rebuilding of bricks throughout life. Loss of relationships, self realization, isolation. The crescendo of saxophone and guitar fight it out to the climatic end in a full resolution of clarity, like a morning after a long night.
